sponsored riders Win Portuguese Downhill Champions (2010-07-23) |

São Brás
de Alportel in Algarve was the place chosen for the apotheosis
of the new Portuguese Downhill champions for the 2010 season.
The track in Cerro do Botelho was arduously worked by the organization,
which succeeded in presenting a high level circuit, worthy of
national championship and which counted on the presence of the
best national athletes in a hard fight for the Portuguese Champion
sweater - the most wanted title of the year.
Kenda was there through its official riders and the result couldn't
have been better: they got the 1st and 3rd on the podium in
Elite and the 1st place in Cadets (which ended up by making
Emanuel Pombo and Patrick Talas become the Portuguese champions
of the modality, in the respective categories), among so many
other excellent results, just like the final classifications
show:
Elite
1st - Emanuel Pombo - Kenda athlete - 2010 DHI Portuguese Champion
3rd - Luís "Sócio" Ferreira - Kenda athlete
4th - José Borges -Kenda athlete
Juniors
2nd - Frederico Pereira – Kenda athlete
Master 30
4th - Gil Carmo - Kenda athlete
5th - André Garcia - Kenda athlete
Cadets
1st - Patrick Talas - Kenda athlete - 2010 DHI Portuguese Champion
The team also won the group classification, which the Pombo
Brothers and Patrick Talas belong to.
