The
Kenda - Felt Mountain Bike Team will be back on the trails
in 2011, represented by a core group of dedicated performance
minded athletes. All athletes are returning to the team from
2010 and will compete in events ranging from the National
Pro XCT and NUE series, to the Leadville 100, Iceman, Teva
Games and USGP Cyclo-Cross races. The riders on the team have
numerous podium finishes in elite competition over the past
several years and have represented the US National Team at
the World Championships. Some highlights from 2011 are winning
the National Ultra-Endurance Series and Iceman Cometh.
Jim Wannamaker, North American Marketing Director at Kenda
USA had this to say about their involvement in the team: "Kenda
is once again very proud to be affiliated with the Kenda -Felt
Professional Mountain Bike Team in 2011. The athletes on this
team are great ambassadors for all the sponsors. The riders
are also all around great people. We use this team for testing
new tires and for marketing purposes and our results with
them have been great!" The team will be riding the full
range of Kenda tires for both 26" and 29" wheels
including the new Slant Six.
Andy Schultz, in his 4th year with the team is looking forward
to the upcoming season: "2011 it going to be a great
year for the Kenda-Felt Team. I'm excited to be able to choose
from a full fleet of Felt Bicycles including the brand-new,
race-bred, blazing fast, full-suspension Edict and am looking
forward to running several new exceptional tire designs from
