SCORE International
just released the official results of the Tecate SCORE San Felipe
250. KENDA sponsored team racer Francisco Septien and his teammates
won the gold and 4th overall in the race.
At last 30 mile Septien behind the leader three minutes, but
that is just what Septien did, running down Jim O’Neal before
they reached the last check point and the finish. Septien just
caught O’Neal around mile 220 and got to the finish first. Finally
Francisco Septien got his first Score win as rider of record,
beating rival Jim O’Neal by more than a minute. Not only did
the team win the 30 pro class they finished 4th overall and
1st.
Francisco Septien stated "It was real good. We managed
to keep second behind (Jim) O'Neal for the last 200 miles. And
we struggled with those guys; they're good riders. This is a
motocross bike, so in the fast section, I couldn't go that fast
so I just keep it steady. But it worked real well in the washes.
